Laird's Robzorb™ GDS grade absorber features high capacity and low total cost of ownership, trough, and short cycle time, thanks to efficient dispensing processes.
The self-levelling feature of Robzorb™ GDS enables a complete cavity fill in challenging cavity resonance applications. There is no need to worry about PSA liner removal or heavy pick and place processes. The dispensing technology permits accurate positioning and thickness tuning with cure in place enhancing reliable Robzorb™ GDS tact and performance.
Robzorb™ GDS is a flexible, high-loss, ULV0 two-part dispensable elastomer absorber. It is ideal for difficult-to-reach applications within a cavity where suppressing resonance is key. Robzorb™ GDS, targeting the 18 to 35 GHz range, is processed through commercially available dispensing equipment handling low viscosity materials.
The effectiveness of Robzorb™ GDS in dampening cavity resonance results from its high loss values, with operational performance already proven through broad applications of Laird's Eccosorb™ GDS, its popular equivalent elastomer sheet alternative. Also significant, a one-to-one, switch is possible if designs allow. Robzorb™ GDS effectively suppresses surface currents, creeping waves, and reduces RF coupling.
