Nearfield Films
Thin Elastomer Absorbers
Near field absorbers are intended to be used very close to, and often in direct contact with an integrated circuit. In this “near field,” application, the radiated energy is primarily from the magnetic field in the low frequency range.
For surface impedance purposes, near field absorbers are designed to match the impedance of energy radiated from an integrated circuit.
Several grades of Laird noise suppression materials are available. They range from extremely low thicknesses (from 0.05 mm) to those with various permeability characteristics (from 110 to 250 mm) and feature like flammability ratings and reflow profile compliancy.
